this week's show is mainly the recording of that panel. we had a great turn-out and we got a lot of positive responses to our presentation. having Jadaira crash the panel in his fursuit didnt hurt either!

Okay I thought today was going to be a wasted day as I got a ticket two months ago and had to do traffic school. I chose to do it online and it took me all of 30 minutes.. I shit you not. Not bad instead of wasting an ENTIRE day in a idiot classroom.
Anyway, thought to go out to Home Depot to look for stuff for the house. They had next to nothing so I leave and go back to a Taco Bell to get some lunch. I go in and order the following.
2 Shrimp tacos (was like 4.98 I think they kept my receipt)
1 nachos bell grande
And the total was like 8 bucks and change. So I get 11 bucks back. Then was told promptly AFTER they took my order and my money.. there was no shrimp tacos.. they stopped selling them.
They offered to give me 4 black jack tacos and I didn't want 4 .. I only wanted 2.
But I didn't even THINK about it. Black Jack Tacos are .89 cents each = 3.60 roughly does NOT equal $4.98!
So I was like ok, give me 2 black jack tacos and the rest of it in change. They're like ok!
So. I wait for my order and they give me all the stuff and I wait for the change
which was $5.45!
so..lets review
11.00 + change + 5.45 = close to 17.00!!

Well I finished off Ratchet and Clank, and I'm going to give it a good thumbs up. Simply put it's got great game play, good story, great visuals, great art style, and is voiced incredibly well. If I had to make a complaint, it'd have to be that the game could've been longer. There's plenty of optional quests and items left for me to grab, but somehow it felt like shortly after the game play and story hit its full stride it was over. On that note, fair warning, the ending is one of the sadder endings I've seen in a video game, though you'll probably see it coming a mile away.
Anyhow, I'll probably spend this week finishing off Shadow Complex and maybe going through Ratchet and Clank in challenge mode. That said I'm somewhat tempted to pick up Wii Sports Resort while a few copies of the Limited Edition is still left. After all it'd save me money over buying a second Wii Motion Plus attachment. Still, I'm a bit reluctant to buy a whole new game so close to the release of Silent Hill Shattered Memories. I suppose there's no reason for me to grab that game right on release day though.
In other news, Taito has announced a new Estopolis/Lufia title, to be developed by the original developers and published by SquareEnix. I hate to get my hopes too high, but hopefully it'll break the mediocre streak that franchise has been suffering from post Lufia 2 and actually be a good game. Heaven knows we could use more, "good," RPG's, there's been a bit of a dry spell lately.

I really haven't been feeling like myself lately, mainly because I've had way too much on my mind as of late.
It's right to the point where I'm having a hell of a time getting excited for MFF next weekend. I don't know if the atmosphere for the weekend before the con has felt different or what. I just can't seem to get excited at all about the con being next week. I haven't done much FVS practice or looked over my stuff that I need to complete for MFF too much. I haven't even started to pull out luggage yet, I still gotta get my big tote out in the shed. I'll start packing tomorrow for the con.
There's also the whole debate between going to either FC or Disney. I've been in more serious discussions about going to Disney, but I just haven't felt up to committing to anything as of late and it's left a pit in my stomach over it. FC, I pretty much have left that in the dust and forgotten about it, even though I do have a room if I did go. I'm right to the point of almost skipping out on both. Maybe I'm still feeling the effects of what happened last winter with the whole recession thing?
Skamper's tailrod finally came in yesterday and I started to work on it already. I'm about halfway done and it's not going to be a complete duplicate as I did screw up along the way (wasn't help that they sent it 1 1/2" oversized. :P). But, I'm seeing a benefit in it which might make the tail look a little more realistic so I'm continuing on with it and I'll see how it comes out. Rest assured, his tail will be high in the air during MFF!
Work has been pretty slow... almost to the levels of what it was like last year. Thankfully, they approved my excused absense for Monday after MFF so I don't have to leave early from the con. I haven't worked less than 40 hours a week since early April so the money has been good and nothing to really worry about around here. Still not sure on what's going to happen with the company move into a bigger building, when it's going to happen, how much down time, etc. The one thing I do know... I'm going to have my area right infront of the bosses office. Goodie. :P
Hopefully writing all of this down will help me clear my mind some and help me get excited for MFF. Hopefully.

If I remember right, there's some sort of holiday that's supposed to happen after MFF. Involving eating a big bird of sorts and watching the Lions lose yet again football, cheesy movie specials, or a bunch of parades. Can anybody remember?
